The Micro/nanosystems Area in the Sibley School is a community of researchers unified by their investigations of novel physics associated with small dimension (for example at the interfaces between surfaces and continua or between classical and quantum physics) and generation of micro- and nanosystems to solve engineering problems. Much of this work is enabled by micro- and nanofabrication and micro and nanocharacterization. The area is inherently interdisciplinary.
The faculty researchers in this area exemplify the collaborative nature of the work done at Cornell Engineering.
