Prof Warhaft to receive Cook Award
Prof. Zellman Warhaft, MAE and associate dean for diversity programs, has been chosen by Cornell's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women to receive a 2007 Cook Award. The Cook Awards honor students, faculty, and staff members for their commitment to women's issues and for improving the climate for women at Cornell. The awards are named in honor of Constance E. Cook, Cornell's first woman vice president, and the late Professor Emerita Alice H. Cook, founding member of the Advisory Committee on the Status of Women and a long standing faculty member at the ILR School. Previous recipients in the College of Engineering include Professors Marjolein van der Meulen, Larry Walker, Paulette Clancy and Sheila Hemami.
